Dip Molding, as its name suggests, is a process of creating a molding, rather than a coating of an object. These molds can be custom designed to an almost endless list of shapes. The object to be molded is dipped into a plastisol and then allowed to cure. Once the plastisol reaches a certain temperature it is carefully stripped from the object, and a hollow mold is produced.

Dip Molding can be done on large or small items to be used as covers, guards, hoses, or caps. These plastic molds are resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and do not conduct electricity. Common uses include engine parts and electrical components, yet due to the vast customization options, these plastic molds can be used for almost anything!
